As November winds down, we pause to reflect on the progress, insights, and opportunities this month provided.
November Reflections – A Season of Gratitude
As we step into the last week of November, I can’t help but feel the shift from fall’s golden glow into the start of the true holiday season. This month has been a mix of healing, slowing down, and noticing the small but meaningful moments around me. My surgery earlier this month was “successful,” though the first week brought more challenges than expected, it forced a whole lot of stillness. Thankfully, those symptoms have eased, and my hearing seems to be making its way back. I’ll have testing in late December to see how things compare, but I’m hopeful!
If this month taught me anything, it’s that rest isn’t optional, and saying no doesn’t have to be the mountain we make it out to be. Not being able to drive limited my availability, and aside from one client who wasn’t thrilled, most people responded with understanding and compassion. It was a reminder that the people who truly value you want you well first.
We also had our holiday parade last week, and as I rode along on our Polar Express float, I noticed something beautiful. It didn’t matter if someone was eight or eighty, everyone was eager to wave back. For just a moment, the whole community shared the same spark of joy. It felt like a reminder that no matter what we’re carrying, we all need a little positivity and warmth, especially this time of year.
At home, I’ve slowly started decorating for the holidays. There’s something magical about the glow of the tree at night. I switched up my usual buffalo plaid for evergreens, champagne, and black this year, and I’m loving the calmer, softer vibe. In many ways, it reflects how I’m feeling internally, stepping into a season of calm, prioritizing myself, and protecting the peace I’ve worked hard to create. Anything or anyone that disrupts that balance simply doesn’t get access anymore :)
As we close out November, I’m holding onto this reminder:
The holidays bring joy for some and heaviness for others, and that’s okay. Be kind to yourself this season, give yourself grace, take things one moment at a time, and remember… you’re doing better than you think.
Here’s to warmth, gratitude, and giving ourselves permission to move gently into the season ahead.
With gratitude,

📚 This Month’s Book Recommendation:
Stop Letting Everything Affect Youby Daniel Chidiac
If you’re looking for a book that feels like a deep breath and a mindset reset,Stop Letting Everything Affect Youby Daniel Chidiac is it. This isn’t just another “think positive” read, it’s a powerful guide to reclaiming your peace, your energy, and your emotional space. Chidiac walks you through the patterns we fall into without realizing it: overthinking, trying to control what we can’t, absorbing other people’s moods, and carrying stress that was never ours to hold.
What I love most is how practical and relatable it is. Every chapter offers simple shifts that make a big impact, how to release what isn’t yours, how to create healthier boundaries, and how to protect the parts of you that matter most. Reading it felt like someone gently reminding me that I get to choose what I carry and what I let go of.
If you’re entering a season of calm, healing, or personal growth, or if you’re just tired of feeling pulled in a million directions, this book is a must. It’s one of those reads that stays with you long after you finish it and quietly helps you show up as a more grounded, intentional version of yourself.

A London Fog with almond milk and lavender. Uptown Coffee and Daily Grind both make amazing ones!

My forever favorites: The Grinch and Home Alone. They never get old and always put me in the holiday spirit.
🎄 December Challenge: Simple + Doable
If you want to head into the holidays with a little more peace and a little less pressure, here are five small practices that can make a big impact. Choose one or try them all — this month is about intention, not perfection.
📝 1. Five-Minute Nightly Gratitude List
End each day by writing down three things that brought you comfort, joy, or calm — big or small. It resets your mindset more than you’d think.
💧 2. Drink One Extra Glass of Water a Day
A tiny habit with a huge payoff. Especially helpful when life gets busy (and let’s be honest… sugary).
💛 3. Do One Act of Kindness
Hold the door, buy the coffee behind you, send a quick encouraging text. Small ripples create big warmth this time of year.
📵 4. No-Phone Mornings
Try starting your morning without immediately grabbing your phone. Even 10 minutes of quiet can shift your entire day.
📸 5. Capture One “Beautiful Moment” Each Day
A sunrise, your tree lit up, your dog being goofy, fresh snow on the ground — noticing beauty helps you slow down and stay present. And if you’re feeling up to it…send it to me! I’d love to see the moments that make your season a little brighter.
