The People Who Fill Your Cup

Hello & Welcome to Spring! 🧡

If February was about stepping back into the right spaces, March was a reminder of why those spaces matter so much.

We just returned from our annual conference in Dallas, but we also dodged a 30-inch snowstorm back home, so that felt like a win before we even landed. 😄 But the real win? Watching most of our office experience our culture together. Seeing the people who show up every day beside me get to feel what I feel in those rooms — that was everything.

Here's what I always say about conferences: the content is good. The ideas are fresh. I come home with pages of notes and a head full of inspiration. But if I'm being completely honest, it's the people that I go for.

There is a different level of communication that only happens face-to-face. A different level of understanding. A different level of support. No jealousy. No competition. Just genuine, unconditional adoration for one another. I often say it can feel lonely at the top — and it can. But this is where I feel most loved. My spare time gets filled with people I only cross paths with every six months, and every single conversation is rich, real, and restorative. Problem-solving over good food with people who just get it— there is nothing quite like it.

The Fire Horse doesn't just charge forward alone. It runs with its herd.

I often say that I can get a little homebody-ish. There's comfort in the familiar. But moments like Dallas remind me that we simply cannot shelter ourselves too much. The energy, the perspective, the reminder of who we are and who we're becoming — that only comes from showing up. From getting on the plane. From being in the room.

A Gentle Reflection for You

  • Where have you been playing it a little too safe lately?

  • Who is in your corner that you haven't connected with recently? (I bet they’d love to hear from you)

  • What room do you need to get yourself into this spring?

  • And maybe the most important one: who or what has been quietly draining your energy?

Sometimes momentum isn't about adding more. Sometimes it's about letting go of what's been weighing you down, the relationship that takes more than it gives, the negativity you've been tolerating, the spaces that shrink you instead of stretch you.

The Fire Horse energy is bold, but it's also connected. Momentum doesn't just come from what you do. It comes from who you're around while you do it. Choose wisely. Protect your energy. And surround yourself with people who remind you of your own light, especially on the days you forget it's there.

Here's to April. Here's to the people who fill our cups. 🧡

This Month's Home Tip💧

With the big melt we've had lately, I’ve been hearing about wet basements — most likely sump pump failures. It happens, and it's a stressful one.

One thing I always recommend: a water leak detector. They're inexpensive, simple, and could save you a major headache. I personally have one by my sump pump, water heater, and under my kitchen sink. If it gets wet, it sounds an alarm so you can catch the problem before it becomes a disaster.

Small investment. Big peace of mind. Worth every penny. 💡

This Month's Book Recommendation

Be Exceptional by Joe Navarro

This month I've been reading Be Exceptional by Joe Navarro — and it's been worth every page. It's not fluffy. It's not surface-level. It's a reminder that being exceptional isn't about doing more… it's about doing the right things consistently and intentionally.

Big takeaway: Being exceptional isn't about talent… it's about how you show up.

  • Self-mastery

  • Awareness

  • Communication

  • Action

  • Making people feel comfortable

Simple concepts — but not easy to live out. Worth the read if you're focused on growth, leadership, or just being better than you were yesterday.

This Month's Recipe

I have been on a little kick lately and I am obsessed. If you are looking for something sweet without the guilt — this one is for you.

Caramel rice cake + a dollop of Sugar Free Cool Whip + a drizzle of melted dark chocolate + a sprinkle of sea salt. Make six at a time, pop them in the freezer for an hour, and thank yourself later.

Simple. Satisfying. A little indulgent without going off the rails.
