When Tired Is Telling You Something
Hello & welcome to my June, and this one actually made it on time, so we're already winning :)
If you got here feeling a little worn out, you're in good company.
There's something about this time of year that no one really talks about. Summer arrives, and everyone around you seems to be thriving; the highlight reels are full, the calendars are packed, and the energy looks endless. And if you're running low, it can feel like something is wrong with you.
It isn't.
Tired isn't a warning sign. Most of the time, tired is just proof. Proof that you've been showing up. That you've been carrying things. That you've been doing the work even on the days it didn't feel like enough.
And here's what I want you to hear, especially if you're in that place right now: you are closer than you think.
The middle of something always feels the longest. It's where the excitement of the start has faded, and the relief of the finish hasn't arrived yet. It's where doubt lives. Where you start quietly wondering if it's worth it, if you're cut out for it, if maybe you should just pull back and catch your breath.
I've been there this month. More than once. The kind of tired that isn't fixed by a good night's sleep, the kind that asks you to slow down long enough to remember why you started.
And when I do that, when I actually get quiet enough to remember, the answer is usually yes. Yes, it's worth it. Yes, keep going. Yes, the light is there even when you can't see it yet.
That's the thing about tunnels. You don't see the light until you're close enough for it to matter.
So if June has been heavy, if the pace has been relentless, if you've been giving more than you've been getting back, I'm not going to tell you to push harder. I'm going to tell you to keep going. Steadily. Faithfully. One day at a time.
Rest when you need to. It’s not quitting. It’s a strategy.
But don't stop. Because the version of you that started this year with intention, with goals, with something to prove, that person deserves to see what's on the other side.
You are not behind. You are not failing. You are in the middle of something that is still becoming. And that is exactly where you're supposed to be.
As we head into the Fourth of July holiday, I hope you'll give yourself permission to slow down, even if just for a little while. Maybe it's an early-morning cup of coffee before the rest of the house wakes up, an afternoon spent soaking up the sunshine, a quiet evening around the fire pit, or simply taking a deep breath and being fully present with the people you love.
Those moments aren't a distraction from the life you're building; they're part of it.
Here's to finding a little rest, a little gratitude, and the energy to keep moving toward what's ahead.
Happy Fourth of July, and as always, thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey.
With love,

This Month's Book Recommendation
The Gap and The Gain
by Dan Sullivan & Dr. Benjamin Hardy
This book offers a simple but powerful mindset shift: stop measuring yourself against where youwishyou were and start measuring yourself against how far you've come.
As entrepreneurs, leaders, and high achievers, it's easy to live in "the Gap", focusing on the next goal, the next milestone, and everything left to accomplish. The problem? No matter how much progress you make, you'll always feel behind.
"The Gain" is about looking backward and recognizing growth, accomplishments, lessons learned, and the distance you've already traveled.
One of my biggest takeaways: success isn't just about achieving more—it's about appreciating more.
If you've ever felt like you're working hard but still not where you want to be, this is a book worth reading.

Fourth of July Favorite
Every Fourth of July, you'll find this patriotic fruit platter at one of our gatherings. It's simple to make, always disappears quickly, and brings a festive touch to any picnic, barbecue, or fireworks celebration.
Patriotic Fruit Flag
You'll Need:
Fresh blueberries
Fresh strawberries (halved) and raspberries or cherries
White chocolate-covered pretzels (rods or twists)
Directions:
Arrange the blueberries in the upper corner of a large rectangular platter to create the "stars." Alternate rows of strawberries, raspberries, and white chocolate-covered pretzels to form the stripes of the flag. That's it!
Optional:Serve with a simple cheesecake fruit dip made from cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, a splash of vanilla, and a little heavy cream for an extra sweet treat.
Wishing you a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled Fourth of July with family and friends!
